For some time now, D’Banj and his management have been trying to
sign rapper Olamide to their record label, although, Olamide turned down the
Koko master’s offer, favouring to be alone for the time being.
Olamide, who does not want to play the fool at this stage of his vocation, courteously told D’Banj that he was not ready to submit some of his forces, particularly having to be registered for shows only by D’Banj’s management , he pleaded for time to think about the offer as he still wants to work with his present group and taking things as they come for now.
He says that for now, there is nothing D’banj can do for him that he can’t do for himself.
"In the future, I will address his offer. If anybody likes me, he should have unfettered access to me. I am just beginning this profession", he supposedly told close friends.
