'Power House' Beyonce is lending her super powers to the fight against hunger and to help job creation.
In
the hunger effort, Beyonce joins "Miss a Meal," a campaign
that encourages persons to skip a meal and pledge the cash to the
crusade to feed the needy.
Beyonce, her sister, Solange, and
their mother, Tina Knowles, are in it together on the effort.
Beyonce, 31, said she was 13 and her sister 8 when they begun assisting
repasts (serving meals) to the homeless after worship.
"There were
people from all walks of life, even children, who required a meal," she
said in a news issue. "We knew that we are all three paychecks away
from poverty. It was a message in humility for all of us." the singer said.
